Originally from London and now based in Sussex, Lorraine works from her studio at Art Space in Portsmouth. Her paintings draw on the experience of landscape, sky, weather, architecture and movement, transforming observations of the world into dynamic compositions of colour, line and space.
Scale is an important element of Lorraine's work. Her large abstract paintings are intended to create an immersive experience, sometimes giving the viewer a sense of being small within a vast expanse of colour, atmosphere and movement.
